08/11/06	New Clubs Consider it an experiment, but my set of PX3 clubs have arrived. I bought the molded handle, flou type. After giving them a thorough workout I'll post a review. I went through some numbers drills with them today and the early prognosis is good.
05/24/06	Another New Montage Bigger and better, consider the last one a teaser. This one is made up of about 4 more minutes of material that I had previously ripped. Loads of 5, 6, 7 ring tricks, 5, 6, and 7 clubs, 8 balls in 4 different patterns, 4 ring pancaking crotch catch and more. I tried to get some of these to match the music and edited it as such. 05/18/06	New Montage At long last I have finally finished up with a big project that has taken up most of my time this winter/spring, which means I had time to put together some practice clips. After sifting through several tapes I ended up with about 9 minutes of "meaty" tricks that I thought were good/interesting enough to release. However, 9 minutes is much to long for a clip I think, so I'll put these out in smaller, more cohesive pieces. The first one is ready, the Franz Ferdinand Mix, loaded with some original 5 ring combos and some fun stuff mixed in. I hope you like it. (also linked on the other page)
01/21/06	6 Ring Endurance So my wife runs out to the post office and my son is busy playing Zoo Tycoon 2, (a great game for little people, btw) so what better time to juggle in the living room. Actually we just finished putting xmas away so finally I can practice again! I christened the newly cleaned room with a 6 ring run of almost 3 minutes. You can see my little one run underneath the pattern a couple of times too.
01/20/06	Juggling Kiosk! I was asked to put together some juggling practice to be used in a kiosk on the concept of practice itself for an educators consortium. There were several other clips added, Tiger Woods practicing his shots, basket ball and karate practice, that kind of thing. I shot this the next morning, and I had about 45 minutes before I had to get cleaned up and ready for work and there would be no time for any re-shooting, as I had to get it ripped to the computer and ready for the kiosk by the next morning. At any rate, under those circumstances I'm pleased with how it turned out. I wanted some distance shots to give perspective, but it turns out that I was too far away and those clips look grainy. At any rate, its 2 minutes long and only 16 megs, so I think its worth the download. Enjoy! (on the misc page)

11/28/05	Fun with 744 The "new" camcorder works, and I tested it out on some 5 ring stuff. 744 turned out good. Head to the rings page to see the latest.
11/27/2005	Ode to a Camcorder Or at least it would be an ode, accept that my camcorder no longer takes to being greased in order to continue its life span. sigh. Ebay to the rescue! Since it is now the holiday season and the last thing I need to do is spend money on myself by buying a new camera, (*ehum, cough) I found the exact same model that I currently have so I can keep using all the batteries I've bought for it, hooray. I've used this down-time to come up with some more fun ring tricks, soon to be filmed and posted.
10/25/2005	Ball Bouncing I filmed this a month ago but forgot to compress and upload it. Some practice with 3 and 4 club singles and a head bounce. I'm making more progress it seems from lots of 2 in one hand drills. See 9-19_Clubs_headbounce.mov On the misc videos page.
10/18/2005	6 Ring Routine I was warming up for some (yawn) numbers drills and was playing around with 6 ring on sync stuff. This came out clean so I thought I'd post it. See 6RingRoutine1.mov on the rings page. I think it may need a little something more, like some half pirouette (yes, I'm old school *180) combos or something to spice it up. Maybe I'll play around with it.
09/17/2005	Ring Vids again The camera is barely hanging on. I re-greased the gears, then hand-wound the garbled tap that was wrapped around the heads. At any rate, I managed to get 3 clips off of it. My new best with 5 ring pancakes, 151 catches. (sorry about turning all over the place, I'm working on that) Also of note, two 6 ring videos, a benchmark with async and on-sync, 1:15 and 1:57 respectively. I'll work on improving on those numbers, but I was at a very hot soccer game earlier in the day (Texas hot, y'all) and I only ate waffles and coffee all day. Not bad considering.

09/08/2005	Overhead Montage I noticed that the endurance records for overhead ball juggling on www.bogleg.com/records was not all that high, so I set up the newly (semi) repaired camera in the corner and filmed some overhead stuff for about a half an hour. Honestly this is the first time I attempted some of these tricks, but they turned out ok. Next time I'll work on stringing them all together without edits. Oh, and sorry for the back lighting, everything looks a bit shadowed. It is the first time I've filmed in a while. Video on the balls page.
09/04/2005	Camera Issues I picked up some silicon gel lubricant from Radio Shack and rubbed it all over the gears in my 5+ year old camcorder and tada! It works! I think I'll celebrate by taping something.
